Nightwatch Canteen Volunteers Needed
Nightwatch Canteen is a community outreach meal assistance program
comprised of multiple local churches who work each week to provide a
meal to those in need.
(The Banquet provides meals 6 days a week but does not provide meals
on Sundays.) The churches purchase ingredients and volunteer church
members help prepare these Sunday meals.
Meals are then served out of the Nightwatch Canteen Food Truck at 2
different downtown locations on Sunday evenings. HUMC serves a
Sunday meal about every 7 weeks.
We are always looking for people to help prepare and serve the food.
By giving a little bit of your time, you can help provide a hot meal to
approximately 100-175 people each week.
For more information contact Mark Noordermeer, Shelley Bushar, Pati
Dirks, Margaret King or Janet Krueger.
