A Word from Pastor Kyle  - Fasting for youth ministries

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a taker. It has taken our usual way of life. And sadly, COVID has taken some of our loved one's lives. A question to think about is, has COVID taken our faith in Jesus away? As a church, our normal way of ministry has been interrupted. The interruption has affected our Sunday School and Youth Ministry. Sunday school meets in person once a month. Youth gathers in church only once a month and then at different locations for the rest of the month. COVID is taking away Teri and Tyler's team's usual way of connecting Jesus with our children. Is there anything helpful for us to do for Teri and Tyler? Yes, there is.

On October 25th, during worship, we heard the story of Queen Esther and her response to an impossible and dangerous task. When facing it, she asked her people to fast and pray for her. God used her to save the Jewish people from genocide. In the bible, when people faced hard times or impossible tasks, they always started to fast and pray. Because of COVID, we are facing hard times. Would you join with me in doing something biblical for our children's and youth ministry?

As a church, let's fast from breakfast and lunch on November 4, 11th, 18th, and 25th and breaking the fast at 4 p.m. The purpose of fast is that Teri and Tyler's team's efforts will lead kids to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Fast and prayer that despite the COVID interruption, our children's and youth ministry will thrive now and in the future.
